Message from Pat Lu
Assunta Alumni President
Dear Assuntarians, my Assunta Family
It is indeed an honour for me to lead such a great, enthusiastic and active Alumni.
I accepted the post with apprehension, for the past committees had set such high standards that it would be quite a task to keep up and follow through. Frankly, I was more than happy to serve in the background without any position since 2000... no pressure!
However, I was pledged relentless support by the Team and backed by such a Team and ALL of YOU, so here I am, with hope to bring forth and keep the Assunta Spirit Alive. It has been alive for the past 50 years and may it never be snuffed out.
I bless the day that I stepped into Assunta and donned the brown and white uniform as a primary schooler. I'm so proud to say that I am an Assuntarian and here are the reasons why...
The ideals that I learnt at Assunta has taught me to Be Love and Light to the world. It is indeed "To Truth through Charity". Today, I dare claim, I'm the "walking talking" Assunta School Song and The Peace Prayer we say at school.
I take this opportunity to thank Sister Enda, teachers and parents (past and present) for their dedication and love in bringing the names of Assunta Primary (1&2) and Assunta Secondary to its present glory as ONE Assunta Family.
To my beloved AA Team, thank you for your support and faith in me.
I've lots more to share actually; instead, my dearest Assuntarians, please watch this video. :D
And finally, to the present girls at Assunta, for heaven's sake, keep the ASSUNTA SPIRIT ALIVE!
"Ad Veritatem Per Caritatem"
Yours in Service,
