KUALA LUMPUR: Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah will be awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS) in conjunction with the 62nd birthday of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
The award carries the title Datuk Seri or Datin Paduka Seri for women.
The other recipient of the SPMS is a member of the Selangor royalty, Raja Datuk Arshad Raja Tun Uda.
Subang Jaya consultant cardiologist Datuk Dr Haji Anuar Masduki and Ampang Umno division head Datuk Mufti Suib will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Setia (SSIS) and which carries the title Datuk Setia.
Royal Selangor International Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Yong Poh Kon is among 15 people who will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) which carries the title Datuk.
Also receiving the DPMS is Education Ministry parliamentary secretary P. Komala Devi and Senator Lee Sing Chooi.
Fifteen people will receive the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk (DSIS), which carries the title Datuk or Datin Paduka for women.
Among them are president of the Pure Life Society orphanage Mother S. Mangalam, Irish nun Sister Ryan Ellen Philomena @ Sister Enda, who set up the Assunta School, and Journal Malaysian branch of the Royal Asiatic Society historian John Michael Gullick.
The Star’s head of crime desk journalist Lourdes Joseph Charles will also receive the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS) along with 14 others.
Fourteen individuals will be conferred the Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS), 14 the Darjah Kebesaran Setia (SIS), 15 the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli (AIS) and seven the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (BPC).
